About Tom

After over thirty years of competitive club rugby in the US, I returned to photography—a quiet pursuit that sharpens focus and opens the world anew. With camera in hand, I walk trails and everyday places, capturing landscapes, light, and moments that hold emotion and story.

My images reflect a simple aim: to notice what is often unseen, compose with care, and preserve the fleeting intersection of time and place. I hope they invite you to pause, see freshly, and feel something of the same wonder or stillness that drew me in.

My work has appeared in Outside Photography and several literary and artistic journals and have found its way into corporate collections and gallery exhibitions.

That same instinct now shapes Rev250, my ongoing photographic record of America's 250th anniversary commemorations — reenactments, ceremonies, and the communities keeping this history alive. I'm drawn here to the same intersection of past and present: candid moments where 1776 and 2026 seem to overlap, and the people who make that overlap visible.
